Vietnamese Puppies that sell for more than cars

'The Daily Mail' of the UK reports the remarkable story of Catherine Lane of Brighton,England who has successfully imported the first Phu Quoc Ridgeback dogs into Europe. This is a species with a genetic makeup owing a lot to the jackal and is unique to Vietnam. It is very rare, with only around eight hundred individuals meeting the certified standard of the Vietnamese Kennel Club.
Importing these dogs into England required Ms Lane to make several trips to Vietnam and a lot of paperwork to meet the stringent quarantine regulations of the UK, a country that is free rabies-free and is keen to maintain that status.
The Vietnamese dogs are happy in their new country have produced a litter of four puppies. Such is their uniqueness in Europe that they command a price of 10,000 GBP a pup, which could buy a very nice family car in the UK.
